Do minor children need to fill in the ID box when requesting authorization?

No, it is not necessary to fill in the ID box when requesting authorization and buying the ticket if you do not yet have an ID card; you must continue with the procedure leaving this box blank.

Once I have the authorization and the reservation, where should I submit them?

The authorization with the generated QR code will be sent to our email; the Xunta staff will ask for it before traveling. The ticket reservation will also be sent to us by email. In this case, we must go to the ticket office of the chosen shipping company located in the same port of departure to get the physical ticket, and thus be able to give it to the sailors before boarding the ship.

How long does it take for the boat to reach the Cíes Islands?

From the port of Vigo, Cangas, and Baiona, the journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Please note that there is no ferry service; only passenger transport is available, and cars are not allowed on the islands.

I can't access the ticket purchase page; I get this error: "The server returned a '500 Internal Server Error'." I have pre-authorization from the Xunta (Galician regional government). I'd like to know how long it lasts and if I need to request it again. We are a group of four adults.

Good morning. I've been informed that a ferry company has departures to the Cíes Islands from Portonovo and Sanxenxo; however, these departures are not listed in the information provided here. I would appreciate confirmation of this information.
    Thank you.

Hi Sonia, from Portonovo and Sanxenxo to Cíes I think there is a speedboat that does this service, I don't think the shipping companies do this route.

    Good morning,
We are planning a trip to Galicia in June with some Belgian friends and their little pet (a 3-kilo dog).
We would like to spend a day in the Cíes Islands and we have two questions for you.
In June, we need to request authorization to travel to the Cíes Islands and we need to know if the dog can accompany us (we can't leave him alone all day).
Thank you very much for your reply.

Hello, I'm organizing this year's trip, and we want to go to the Cíes Islands. There are two of us adults from Seville. We'd like to go on September 05th, and I'd like to know if we can take the boat from Baiona. Where can I find all the information, including a contact number? I need to be sure so I can book a hotel in Baiona, as we'd only be there that day. Alternatively, could we take the boat from somewhere else, and I'd appreciate your contact number. Thank you.

      Hello Inmaculada, good afternoon.

Let me explain, to make the reservation of the ticket and the authorization you can only do it 90 days in advance of the day you want to travel, first you request the authorization and then you buy the ticket.
On the website, we explain how to do it; it's very simple. Once you choose the ferry company you want to travel with, it will ask for information such as departure port, destination, schedule, etc. You'll need to fill it in according to your preferences. The Mar de Ons ferry company departs from Baiona, so when the time comes, choose it.
Regarding the hotel, at the bottom of the main page you will see a link to the booking page where you can make your reservation.
I hope I've been able to help you. Best regards, and thank you for contacting us.

If the scheduled departure day is cancelled due to weather conditions:
    – Can they reschedule it for another day? Do we have to arrange it ourselves?
    – Will we get our money back? Where should we go?
    Regards!!!
