POINT OF INTEREST

Lake of the Children
Lago dos Nenos connects the archipelago's two main islands, Monteagudo and Montefaro, via a narrow sandbar known as the "Bridge of the Germans." This bridge closes for an hour and a half each day due to the rising tide, although the two islands are also connected by a large sandbar, Rodas Beach. The lake is a natural pool of crystal-clear water that varies with the tide, ideal for observing marine life. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, it's a perfect place to enjoy the serenity of the surroundings. It's a haven in the ocean and a refuge for marine life. Strolling along its dam, you can see various fish. To avoid disturbing their natural habits, feeding them or swimming in the lake is prohibited.
