The Xunta de Galicia enables the website to request access to travel to the Cíes Islands and the Ons Island.
STEP 1: Ask for your authorization
STEP 2: Book your ticket in any of the shipping companies
Remember that there is a maximum period of two hours from when you request authorization from the Xunta and your authorization number arrives until you buy your tickets at any of the shipping companies that travel to the islands.
Personnel from the General Directorate of Natural Heritage will exercise the function of controllers-reporters at the ports of departure to Cíes: Vigo, Baiona and Cangas. There will be one in each port and they will be identified with orange vests. These staff will have devices to read the QR codes to check the validity of the authorizations and will have an exhibitor next to the ticket offices in which there will be information brochures on the disposition of travelers, explaining the novelties introduced to gain access to the islands.
During the permit application, it will be necessary to register name, surname, identification document, sex and year of birth. The authorizations will be sent by email to the applicant or can be downloaded from the website itself.
The novelties and improvements introduced by the Ministry of the Environment in the access system to the Atlantic Islands National Park aim to avoid the possible over-sale of tickets by transport companies that travel to the archipelago.
