As many of you already know, from the new "ISLAS CIES" application you can request authorization and buy tickets to travel to the Cíes Islands and Ons Island from any port of embarkation, whether it be Portonovo, Bueu, Baiona, Cangas or Vigo.

The Portuguese Coastal Way of St. James from La Guardia with the app
This year, we've added a new feature to the app: the Portuguese Coastal Way from A Guarda, specifically from A Pasaxe, where the ferry departs to bring pilgrims from Portugal. In total, we'll cover just over 100 km, a sufficient distance to reach Santiago de Compostela.
The stages
We will soon comment on the different stages carried out, stages of about 20-25 km each, easy to do, of medium-low level, the surprise is that we have recommended an alternative route of the Camino that runs through the Spiritual Variant of Father Sarmiento , going from Pontevedra to Armenteira and from Armenteira to Vilanova de Arousa.
Later we will take the River Route, going by boat from Vilanova to Pontecesures through the Ulla River . This variant is a marvel, known as the origin of all the roads , the Traslatio , the only Via Crucis in the world, through this river route the remains of the Apostle were taken.
First stage
But we will go step by step, soon we will publish the first stage, La Guardia (A Pasaxe) to Oia about 16 km away.
Suggestions
As a suggestion for residents of Vigo and its surroundings, I suggest doing the first stages during the weekend so you can sleep at home. You just need to have someone drop you off and pick you up at each stage, at least until you reach Pontevedra, where there are more ways to get back.
The perfect plan to change things up, break out of your routine, and get some exercise.

The 4th stage Cangas – Marin does indeed have beautiful views, but I think it's disrespectful to the pilgrim on the part of whoever suggested this stage.
Not a single arrow, neither green nor yellow. When we said we were doing the Camino de Santiago, the locals were surprised because the Camino de Santiago doesn't pass through there, meaning it doesn't exist; you've just made it up. Shameful.
We didn't get a stamp from anywhere, most of the people we met were very unfriendly, except for one lady named Ana who gave us water and was very kind.
I am very disappointed because I feel deceived.
In short, I don't recommend it for doing the Camino de Santiago; I would have done Vigo-Redondela.

We clearly announced that the fourth stage is an alternative to the already known Vigo-Redondela route.
"This stage marks a difference from the already known Vigo-Pontevedra route; we propose a new experience: crossing the Vigo estuary to continue from Cangas to Bueu and from Bueu to Marín."
It is true that it is poorly signposted; we have met with local authorities to demand signage, but they haven't paid much attention to us, it seems.
Regarding the stamps, I don't know what to tell you, we did get ours stamped, any establishment with a stamp is valid for obtaining the Compostela.
And well, the Camino to get to Santiago is diverse, even the Padre Sarmiento Variant, which not everyone knows about, is equally recognized.
