In the Cíes Islands there are two bird observatories: The Monteagudo bird observatory, near the Faro do Peito and the bird observatory near the Pedra da Campá, on the way to the Faro Cíes.

The Monteagudo bird observatory, near the Faro do Peito lighthouse, is a prime location for observing the rich birdlife of the Cíes Islands. From this vantage point, you can admire seabirds such as the yellow-legged gull and the European shag, as well as other resident birds. Although currently closed to the public, it remains an essential stop for nature lovers exploring the hiking trails that pass through the area, such as the path to the Monteagudo lighthouse. The Cíes Islands are a natural haven for birdwatching, designated as a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) since 1988.
